Farmers Insurance Internship
During my summer internship with Farmers Insurance I was assigned to work at three different agencies through the week. At each agency, I worked on separate projects but had an overall goal to increase social media presence for all three. On the side I also worked on email marketing, cold calls for insurance estimates, and more.
Kara Petter
While I was working with Kara, I learned a lot about how the business itself runs and how to run their computer systems to find potential clients. I got a lot of practice with email and phone marketing for her that resulted in multiple requests for quotes. We even worked on promotional material and mailers to further market her business.
Katy Lindberg
Katie's agency has been located in downtown Hastings for over a decade so she was a large part of the community. We worked off of this by connecting with other local businesses and highlighting them on her Facebook to not only gain followers but to help others as well.
Kevin Newton
Kevin was the only agent who hired an outside source to write occasional blogs for him on LinkedIn. We took this as an opportunity to expand his social media presence to Pinterest and to make additional content like infographics that would do well on the platform.
